About Kriti
Hi! I’m Kriti — a London-based Indian classical and Bollywood dance teacher with over 10 years of experience performing, choreographing, and teaching across India and the UK. I began my journey in Kathak, one of India’s oldest classical dance forms, where I learned that dance is more than just movement — it’s rhythm, grace, storytelling, and soul. Over the years, I expanded into Bollywood choreography, bringing joy, energy, and expression to everything from wedding performances to stage shows. My teaching blends tradition with creativity. Whether you’re a complete beginner finding your feet or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your technique, I design each class to meet you where you are. Expect a mix of technical drills, expressive choreography, cultural context, and, most importantly — fun! I’ve taught children, teens, working professionals, and brides-to-be — and no matter who’s in the room, I make sure every student feels confident, supported, and inspired to move. Outside the studio, I’m pursuing a Master’s in Finance at King’s College London — because yes, you can love numbers and nritta at the same time! So whether you're here to reconnect with your roots, prepare for a performance, or just dance your heart out — I can’t wait to help you shine.

My teaching style is where tradition meets passion. I bring over 10 years of experience in Kathak and Bollywood to create classes that are equal parts technique, emotion, and sheer joy. Whether it’s mastering intricate footwork or unleashing energy to your favorite Bollywood beats, every class is designed to make you *feel* the music — not just follow it. A typical session starts with a fun, rhythmic warm-up, followed by breaking down choreography step-by-step. We explore the story behind each move (especially in classical pieces), and end with performance practice that builds grace, confidence, and rhythm. I love incorporating cultural context, expressions (bhava), and storytelling into the learning — because dance isn’t just movement; it’s a language. What sets me apart? I make sure each student finds *their* voice in dance. My sessions are relaxed, supportive, and infused with creativity. Whether you're dancing for the first time, prepping for a wedding, or looking to reconnect with your roots — I meet you where you are. Classes are open to all age groups and levels. I offer private and group lessons — both online and in-person (London-based). Come dance, connect, and celebrate every beat with me!
