About Melanie

I attended Carnegie Mellon University and UAL Central St Martins for fine art, specializing in knit, crochet, and textile sculpture. I have been knitting for upwards of 9 years, crafting gifts, amigurumi, and other small items. I have taught many friends and family how to knit, and am experienced in a number of different stitches, patterns, and designs.

About the lesson

My teaching method is one on one education, with a heavy focus on demonstration and collaborative work. I can teach almost any pattern to the student, as well as creating unique custom patterns. As a tutor I am very forgiving and skilled at explanation, and I am happy to learn any pattern in order to teach my students.
