Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up (5–10 minutes):
A brief conversation or interactive activity to gauge the student’s mood and readiness. It could be a short review of the previous lesson or a fun icebreaker to engage them.
Introduction to New Content (10–15 minutes):
Introducing new material, whether it’s a piece of literature, grammar concept, or writing technique. I present this in a clear and digestible manner, sometimes using visuals or multimedia to enhance understanding.
Practice and Application (15–20 minutes):
Students apply what they’ve just learned through exercises, discussions, or role-plays. For example, in a grammar lesson, they may do a series of exercises; for literature, they could analyze a passage or even perform a scene.
Wrap-Up & Reflection (5–10 minutes):
Recapping key takeaways, answering any lingering questions, and offering suggestions for independent practice. I like to leave students with a challenge or a small task to work on before our next session.
Homework or Follow-up (if applicable):
I may assign tasks like reading, writing assignments, or an online quiz to reinforce learning.
