About Emily
I am about to start my fourth and final year of university where I study Spanish and Portuguese. I have recently finished my year abroad during which I lived and studied in Brazil for six months. I have a good knowledge of Portuguese grammar and a high speaking level. I have not tutored Portuguese before but have helped with Spanish and I tutored GCSE students in English language during sixthform.

I think it is important to make lessons as interactive as possible, in order to help learning, with an emphasis on speaking and listening. At the same time, I will take care to incorporate some work on reading and writing skills and core grammar.

I have recently been taking Portuguese lessons with Emily. The first session was great as she spent time finding out what my current level was and what I was trying to learn and why. She then tailored the lessons going forward to this and undertook a lot of preperation. She has a very encouraging and relaxed teaching style and was genuinely interested. I have been making good progress and I would strongly recommend her.
