• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I was actually more interested in becoming a lawyer, but I was asked to volunteer and teach full time at a refugee centre in Malaysia. Where I was in charge of a mixed age and mixed abilities classroom. My job was to teach them English so that they could be relocated. I then started helping teach older refugee students too and adults. I absolutely fell in love with teaching and my passion for teaching ignited here.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I love being able to share my native language. Being able to watch my students grow , and develop their confidence in their English abilities is why I love this job.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  I love that it gives me the time to be able to have 1 on 1 and personalized lessons with my students. Where I am able to get to know them better, their strengths and weaknesses. Then I am able to create lesson plans that are personalized to that student to help them grow and learn.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I had a teacher in high school who always used to push me. No matter how hard it was, how resistant I was , or how much I thought I’d fail. She would never give up and would always motivate me. In the end she helped me achieve so much. And I’ve always wanted to be like her and help other students like that.

• What are your keys to success?

  Confidence, respect, knowledge , hard work , and dedication.
