About Konatsu
I was born in Okayama, Japan. I am a native Japanese. I worked at a language school and I have started my own Japanese language school in Toronto. I have been teaching Japanese for the past 8 years. Also, I am a corporate Japanese translator both ways of English and Japanese. I finished a Master's degree in Japan and participated in international symposiums/debates all around the world. Also, I am a professional dancer and model for commercials in Canada/USA. Perfect! An excellent teacher and very flexible with booking sessions
Perfect! I've had classes with Konatsu Sensei for about two months and they have been an amazing experience! I have learned so much and improved drastically in my Japanese. Her lessons are super easy to follow, the material is great and you feel incredibly motivated to learn even more!
Perfect! Konatsu is a great teacher! She’s able to explain grammar points in simple terms and makes it easy to understand.
Perfect! I only had a short time to become somewhat fluent in Japanese for a job and Konatsu sensei is extremely helpful, she's able to adapt to whatever your needs are, whether it's speaking/writing/reading comprehension as well as the pace at which you are trying to learn. She has a large range of material at her disposal and if you ever have any questions, she'll always answer you in a timely manner. I've only ever had the private lessons with her but I'm sure her group lessons are just as good. Would definitely recommend to people at any level of Japanese if they want to improve! 15/10

Perfect! If you are looking for someone to practice your Japanese speaking, Konatsu sensei is the perfect shot. I have some foundation in Japanese, Konatsu sensei knows how to start a topic on my level so I can always enjoy talking to her while reinforcing my Japanese grammar. It is hard to get bored learning Japanese with her.

Very well structured teaching method, adaptable, teaching slides are well-written, clear; teacher explained grammatical rules very well, encourage student to reach to orale expression to next level, positive encouragement and a lot of learning materials. Perfect! I highly recommend lessons with Konatsu! I was able to make progress in valuable speaking and listening skills that are hard to improve without the help of a native speaker. Konatsu's lessons are in depth and well organized. I also appreciate the flexibility of the lesson schedule which allows me to attend lessons while working full time.

Perfect! I think Konatsu was very fair and considered everything in advance, and organized her classes in some of the most efficient ways when it comes to languages. The problem was that she did not think of making us, including the other students, have conversations with each other and that she did not try to make us react in Japanese in a real-life situation. Still, she did make formulate sentences and ask questions to each other. She had a 88.5% perfect attitude for a language teacher, but it was not because she had a problem with her attitude. It is just that she is missing a little more hyper-activeness to make us students more passionate after every class except for me I think. A little more dedication to could help. Other than that, she is perfect at teaching students Japanese. She has great potential to become even better. Good job Konatsu.

Perfect! Konatsu is an amazing tutor! She helps me learn the basics of Japanese while helping me understand my Japanese university course. She explains concepts very well and in a way that is easy to understand; she also gives lots of practice during the lesson and sends worksheets that you can work. I can text her at anytime to ask for help and she teaches in a way that makes me feel confident in my Japanese! Highly recommend if you are a beginner and if you are a student as well!

Perfect! Konatsu sensei is a fantastic teacher. I worried about looking for Japanese teachers but I lucked out Konatsu sensei. She teaches me at a good pace and ensures I understand everything before moving on. She's friendly, enjoys teaching Japanese and her methods of teaching really work. I'm not the smartest person in the world but her lessons stick and I'll continue to take her classes in the future. I can't recommend Konatsu sensei enough she is worth every penny. If you're thinking about learning Japanese there is no better time then the present and no better teacher then Konatsu Sensei.

I've been learning Japanese with Konatsu for two months now and it has been very fun - in part because of my enthusiasm for the language and in part because of her teaching style. She is very adaptable. If you want tests, she will create tests for you. If you want to do extra homework, she will give you extra homework. She is also very accessible when I have questions during personal study via text. I recommend her to anyone that's looking for a bright and flexible teacher.
Konatsu-san is an excellent Japanese language teacher. She’s organized, funny, encouraging, and caring to her students. I really look forward to the class with her each week. She also organized group class activities for students to learn from each other. I highly recommend Konatsu-san for your Japanese language classes.

I’ve been studying Japanese with Konatsu for 2 years now and I must say she is super fun to learn Japanese with. I think the most important thing when learning a new language is having fun with it and she definitely keeps the material interesting, fun and easy to understand.
