About Emma
Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a degree in Music Education with a focus on guitar. My journey with music began early, and since then, I’ve dedicated myself to both mastering the instrument and helping others grow through it. I believe the guitar is not just an instrument but a powerful voice for emotional expression. In my lessons, I help students connect deeply with the music they play. Whether it’s your first time holding a guitar or you’re aiming to take your playing to the next level, I tailor each session to your goals and pace. I place strong emphasis on proper technique and fretboard fluency, ensuring you develop a solid foundation. We also explore music theory in a simple, accessible way so that you can understand what you’re playing—not just copy it. I want my students to be independent musicians who can create, improvise, and perform with confidence. Expression is at the heart of what I teach. I love guiding students to find their own musical voice. Seeing someone grow not just as a player, but as an artist, is the most rewarding part of what I do. My teaching approach is focused on making every student a confident and creative guitarist. I guide learners from the basics to advanced playing with clear, structured lessons tailored to their goals. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to refine your skills, I meet you where you are. I cover a wide range of guitar styles including classical, jazz, electric, bass, and acoustic.
I also integrate ear training and music theory to build a strong musical foundation. We work on performance techniques, improvisation, and rhythm skills using real songs and backing tracks. For students interested in modern tools, I incorporate DAWs, amp simulators, and metronome apps to enhance learning and practice sessions.
Lessons are interactive and paced according to your progress. I place special focus on helping students develop their own voice on the guitar. Many of my students have gone from unsure beginners to confident performers with unique styles. I support expressive, bold players and encourage them to explore their full musical potential. Above all, I aim to make learning fun, inspiring, and rewarding.
