He is exceptionally creative as an artist and teacher. The learning environment he provides is calm, supportive, and encouraging and I always feel comfortable and at ease during classes. Since studying voice with Anirudh, I have progressed in ways I never knew were possible and I am profoundly grateful to be his student.

Anirudh is a truly supportive instructor in my journey towards improving my skills in both carnatic and western music (covering a wide range of genres which isn’t common with singing instructors). Anirudh is versatile in so many instruments including his voice. His sense of music and rhythm is so impeccable. Whether it is mastering the instrument, the raag that you want to play or the song that you have in mind, Anirudh can dissect it and offer you a path that will get you there. That will, of course, need you to practice, practice, practice, which can get boring.

But Anirudh's style is to motivate you enough to get over that hurdle and make you sit and practice every day. And eventually, it makes such a huge difference.

He notices very small details and works with you to fix that and as these small mistakes get fixed, you start to sing better. Perfect! Learning with Anirudh, for the past 3 months, has been a blessing, one that I share with many friends in person, some of whom have also begun lessons with him.

His teaching methodology is honest yet gentle, and entirely patient. Anirudh's deep knowledge of both western and Hindustani music is a stable and delightful pond one can dip into given that one is ready for transformation! I have learnt to recontextualise my relationship with singing, a relationship that previously teetered on external validation is now gently moving towards an understanding of the body and how the voice sits in it. Anirudh's methodology feels humane and experience centric. Rather than focusing on a robotic procedure of how I am supposed to sound, he is guiding me on the journey to trusting my voice. Singing with Anirudh is a practice in embodying my voice as a daily normalised ritual, rather than a uniquely performative task.

He walks with me, and learns from my experience too, and needs too. Anirudh employs a flexibility to learning that subverts most unnecessary frustrations, whilst maintaining confidence that necessary difficulties are worth working through with time and effort.

His proficiency and understanding of a dizzying number of instruments constantly delights, and more than that, allows a new refreshing context if you are stuck with a particular concept. I call this 'Anirudh's Emporium of Sound'... As he is a bard by no other name!

I am grateful for the landscape Anirudh provides for me to understand the musical history of my culture. From swers to raags I am beginning to familiarise with the vast musical complexities of primarily North Indian practice, how that practice sits in comparison to more familiar western theories, and how to enjoy the difference.

I am also lucky to call Anirudh a friend too. We share songs and personal stories in each session, and once in a while also read out our own writings. I have been able to share his words in a poetry event in Cambridge, UK, where I currently reside. To share an appreciation for poetry, music, language whilst learning together creates a broader net of context from which to appreciate singing as an art, rather than just as a performance.

Oftentimes I will reenact a trauma that lives within my voice, and find myself apologising for making 'mistakes'. Anirudh constantly will gently bring back the attention to the present, and remind me that there is no apology needed when we are trying to be better! I am deeply grateful for this, as it has helped reshape damaging narratives I was feeding myself, in that I believed I was 'tonedeaf' at the beginning of our sessions. None of which was true, and only came from places of pain and disconnectedness with the voice and body. My ear-training requires a mountain of work, work that feels good to do with Anirudh as a guide. I am sure any person will feel the same learning with him.

His depth of knowledge and patience in training is commendable.
I have been training with him for under an year now. Today, he is more than a trainer.
From schedule perspective also, most accomodating to accept any emergency rescheduling.

Perfect! I've been taking classes from Anirudh for over a month now, and I feel I have already learnt so much from him. Perfect! Anirudh is a brilliant musician and guitarist and an even better teacher and a human being. His classes are tailor-made and he meticulously makes you work on your desired goals. I went to Anirudh 3 months ago with a goal to learn Music and every class since then has added immensely to my learning curve. Perfect! Anirudh is a singer that's failed more times than one can imagine. So you can be sure, any problem that you could have with your singing, he is sure to have experienced it and  already overcome it. I've taken many classes from different natural born singers and experienced teachers, but no one gets me like Anirudh. 
He is able to isolate my problems within minutes and even give me a solution that shows results in 1 class. His approach towards teaching is not through generic prescription of exercises, but through isolating and targeting issues and by dismantling mental blocks. He nurtures and enables your natural voice to find itself, which has helped me confidently sing with the voice and style I have and improve it, and not imitate other artists. 

Anirudh is one of those few teachers dedicated to the craft, and not the money. He will teach you to be independent and not depend on him for classes. He transfers knowledge without hesitation or insecurities. The more classes you attend, the lesser you'll need him.
Apart from classes, he is a kind and humble human and is available to address your doubts, hear your songs and give you feedback :) 

Perfect! Anirudh has been a great teacher so far. I have enjoyed taking singing and guitar lessons from him. I feel like I have learnt a lot since I started my lessons with him. I liked that he started with the fundamentals of music and focused on ear training. He breaks up long-term learning goals into small manageable pieces that can be completed in between classes as homework, and he offers plenty guidance along the way to help me achieve them. Another nice thing is I can send him daily an audio clip of whatever he asked me to practice, so I can get more frequent feedback outside of classes. He is also very patient in explaining concepts and ensures my understanding of it. Overall, I recommend him. :)
