About Romain
I was born in a French-Italian bilingual family, I started studying English at age 10, I studied Latin for 6 years, I learned to speak Portuguese while studying philosophy at the University of Porto for the entirety of my first year of my Masters and I have lived in Porto since 2018. In love since always for etymologies, languages and phonetics, I deepened my curiosity at university studying Latin, French literature, Russian literature, French-Italian translation techniques, traductology, poetics and rhetoric, philosophy of language, cultural anthropology. At the same time, I developed as a musician a multilingual repertoire in languages close and far from the ones I knew. Music is my main activity when I'm not teaching.

I aim to reproduce the immersiveness of conversation, under privileged conditions, with the help of body language and visual support to stimulate the intuition and linguistic creativity that we all have naturally as speakers. In each class, grammar support is provided for the newly learned words and expressions, with explanatory material, rules, homework exercises. Theory roots in practice!
