About Mae
I was born in Philippines and my first language is Tagalog! I have studied it for 9 years back in my home country and have spoken it my entire life. I believe that I can inspire others to continue learning our language as it may help them connect with the thousands of Filipinos in Canada and all over the world!

I have great flexibility in my way of teaching! I will use the first hour to do icebreakers and have a freestyle conversation with my students to see what level everyone's at and to remove any kind of awkwardness in the air. Then, I will start off with the most basic words that are used in every sentence. These basic words include pronouns and linking verbs. Then, we'll build it from there based on the student's age, language level, and preferences! I will check every class if my student is happy with how the classes are going and ask if they are okay with the pacing of the classes. I will tailor my classes to every student's learning style to maximize their progress, understanding, and enjoyment of the class. Lastly, if the students want to explore more or touch on another topic, they are free to do so and I will gladly help them with whatever they want to learn about!
