About Barvy Jane

I’m a passionate and patient Filipino tutor dedicated to helping students learn Tagalog with confidence.

As a native Filipino speaker, I have a strong understanding of the Tagalog language and how it is naturally used in everyday conversations. I enjoy sharing my language and culture with learners from different backgrounds and helping them achieve their personal learning goals.

I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging or intimidating. That’s why I strive to create a supportive, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment where students can practice freely and learn from their mistakes without fear of judgment.

My lessons are personalized according to each student's level, goals, and learning pace. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing to travel to the Philippines, communicating with Filipino family or friends, or simply interested in learning the language and culture, I am here to guide you step by step.

I am committed to being well-prepared, professional, patient, and attentive to your learning needs. My goal is not only to teach you Tagalog but also to help you feel confident using it in real-life conversations.

Learn Tagalog with Confidence—One Conversation at a Time!

Want to speak Tagalog naturally with your Filipino friends, partner, family, or while traveling around the Philippines? I’m here to help you!

My goal is simple: to make learning Tagalog easy, practical, enjoyable, and comfortable, even if you are starting from zero.

️ My Teaching Approach

I use a student-centered and conversational teaching style. Instead of overwhelming you with complicated grammar rules, I help you learn Tagalog through useful words, expressions, and conversations that you can actually use in everyday life.

Our lessons can include:

* ️ Conversational Tagalog and speaking practice
* Vocabulary and useful Filipino expressions
* ️ Grammar explained in a simple way
* Listening and pronunciation practice
* Role-playing and real-life situations
* Filipino culture and everyday expressions
* Review activities to help you remember what you learn

Most importantly, you will have plenty of opportunities to speak. Don't worry about making mistakes—mistakes are a natural and important part of learning!

What Does a Typical Lesson Look Like?

Each lesson is personalized based on your level and goals.

We usually start with a quick review of previous lessons. Then, we introduce new words, phrases, or grammar concepts and practice them together. After that, we'll use conversations, role-playing, or real-life scenarios to help you apply what you've learned.

Before we finish, we'll review the important points and discuss what you can practice before our next lesson.

No boring, one-size-fits-all lessons! Your lessons will be designed around what you actually want and need to learn.

What Makes Me Different?

I’m not here just to teach you words from a textbook. I want to help you communicate naturally and confidently with Filipinos.

I am patient, friendly, and understanding, especially with beginners who may feel nervous about speaking a new language. I can adjust my pace and teaching style according to your comfort level.

Whether you want to learn “Kumusta?” for your first Filipino conversation or you want to have longer conversations in Tagalog, we'll work toward your goal step by step.

Who Are My Lessons For?

My lessons are perfect for:

Complete beginners with little or no Tagalog knowledge
Intermediate learners who want to improve their fluency
Travelers planning to visit the Philippines
Foreigners living or working in the Philippines
People with Filipino friends, partners, or family
Students interested in Filipino language and culture
Anyone who simply wants to learn a new and useful language!

You don't need any previous Tagalog experience. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to learn!
