About Jean-Pierre
I hold degrees in engineering and economics respectively from the universities of Brussels and Oxford - the latter university I was able to attend thanks to a prestigious Wiener Anspach scholarship. I worked mostly in international development and natural resources as an international consultant, but was also a lecturer in development economics in Belgium. A very relevant experience was that I organized and chaired major international conferences and addressed many professional venues in the US, Canada, Europe and even Brazil.
Regarding public speaking and coaching, I hold the highest distinction of Toastmasters International -- Distinguished Toastmasters and am a certified trainer in human potential development, graduated from the internationally renown Jack Canfield Institute. This training brought me to have a deep yet practical understanding of the "success principles," that are highly relevant to public speaking.
I am bilingual in English and French and can get around in Spanish and Dutch.
I am based in Canada, in the Montreal area, but I offer my coaching services through internationally through online communications.

Everyone of us speaks in public day in day out, so it's a matter of first assessing your strengths and weaknesses, and of course your actual needs, and jointly decide on an action plan.
There is no one size fits all in public speaking, which is a very sensitive topic too, as it's an essential expression of who you are. If after a first session we decide to work together, we will have defined a limited set or challenging yet achievable goals, which will get you on a learning journey and get you to progressively master public speaking tools that are key to deliver powerful, effective presentations and speeches.
Why choose me to embark on this journey? First, I was brought to speak in public pretty early in my career, as I was a lecturer in economics for several years in Belgium. Second, I did my own public speaking journey years ago. I presided major international conferences, gave keynote speeches, made powerful presentations, and was able to do so through my own learning in public speaking, through Toastmasters International - a public speaking organization of which I hold the highest distinction - that of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Third, I have trained myself in personal development, by completing a training in human potential development with world renowned coach Jack Canfield, which brought me to have a deep understanding of Jack Canfield's "success principles," which can be applied to public speaking. Fourth, I am a very analytical person, who has no time to waste, and who will ensure you achieve the fastest progress possible so both yourself and myself have the most satisfactory experience working together.
I expect that about 10 sessions should suffice to substantially improve your confidence and your ability to effectively communicate. So this is a fast track, challenging, approach - yet a transformational approach that may have the potential of inducing profound improvements in your communication skills and, in turn, into your professional life.
