About ANNIEN
I'm a seasoned teacher as my first matrics celebrated their 35th reunion this year.
I may sound old, but I can promise you I'm not cold as I stay up to date with the latest trends, requirements, Teaching Plans and Assessment needs.
I'm creative and will be able to adapt my methods and learning material to fit the learner.

Fokus op dink, redeneer en verstaan in AFRIKAANS.
You can't learn a language, you will MEET sounds, affixes, words, sentences and paragraphes and you will practise Afrikaans.
Teaching means:
- modelling and practising of skills e.g. comprehension
- linking of new knowledge to prior knowledge
- finding unique ways to remember
Each learner will express his/her own needs and goals.
Tutor wil assess the level of competence and determine the way forward to reach the goals.
The student must be prepared to INTERACT (this is not a lecture). The student must realise that no Afrikaans paper will ever be set in English. Therefore the tutor will expect speaking, reading and writing in Afrikaans.
The student can expect guidance, patience, knowledge, experience, growth and results.
The parent can expect a strict but joyfull tutor who doesn't want to waste anybody's time or money.
