Hello, my name is Maeve. I can tutor Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, and Geography at Leaving Certificate level. I received H1s in all of these subjects. I love to teach and use easy, quick methods for remembering high volumes of content. I believe cutting corners isn't ideal at Leaving Cert, but if you can condense it into manageable bits, you can tackle any paper no matter how many unpredicted parts come up. On the day, just choose the easiest and most comfortable parts. I like to structure my classes in a way where the student can let me know before the class which topic they require help with. I would then have practice questions and condensed notes ready. Also, I would look through the student's notes to see if there is any key info that needs more detail or focus. During the class, I would teach the topic from start to finish using analogies and in easy, manageable chunks. Then I would look at practice papers with the student and finally, and most importantly, quick-fire questions throughout the class to keep it interactive and to ensure a good understanding.
