About Camilo
Hi, I'm Camilo Parra. I'm a psychology student. I learned English since I was in school and I have taught since then. I have also done translations and other related works such as tutorials, text writing and school support. I have knowledge about psychological processes, learning and know teaching methodologies that I have acquired empirically or thanks to different subjects that I have studied. I am currently doing professional practice in psychology, in the research area, so I am in constant contact with scientific articles in English, which allow me to expand vocabulary and improve my reading-writing skills.

I do not have a standard teaching methodology. I start thinking about how to carry out English classes from basic knowledge, likes and skills of people interested in learning English. I like to first know a little about the interests of people before structuring a class. I usually use mnemonics, movies, music, articles according to interests, video games and other tics. I try to use all available sensory channels to facilitate the construction and acquisition of knowledge. I generally enjoy doing classes in different environments, I have worked in structured spaces and in open spaces. I support the idea of a colective construction of knowledge and that learning should not be a boring process, much less monotonous.
