About Melanie
Hello! My name is Melanie and I am a 15-year-old currently attending Lord Byng Secondary School. I am in the Lord Byng strings program, moving from junior to senior. I am easygoing, attentive, and patient. I have worked with kids in the past before such as homework help. I enjoy assisting others in any way that I can and I look forward to teaching as well! I have experience in tutoring those younger than me and my goal is to increase others' love for music, like how I enjoy it.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I will start off with open strings and tuning, and then we will get into basics such as scales, vibrato, and switch finger positioning. Then, we will begin to look at pieces and first go over them one bow one note, and then start following the positioning and then pick up speed and focus on detail.
