We have tried a few tutors but Irene was a breath of fresh air for my daughter! She was able to clearly explain detailed concepts and cover topics that previously have been challenging for Mia and actually make it interesting to learn. Irene is incredibly calming and her knowledge and understanding is extensive yet she has a natural ability to make students feel comfortable. We highly recommend Irene, she is a life saver!

Irene tutored me for A-level Politics when I was struggling to turn all the information in my head into an actual argument. She was really good at working out exactly where I was getting stuck and explaining things in a way that finally made sense, without making me feel awkward for asking basic or slightly random questions.

I liked that we would sometimes spend most of a lesson pulling apart a single essay question. By the end I could actually see why my paragraphs weren’t answering the question and how to fix them. I became much less stressed about essays and started feeling like I actually understood the subject.

Irene was such a help for my niece when she needed it: always supportive, attentive, and very ready to adjust to her needs. Whether in preparation for exams or for her end of year essays, Irene was there to help her navigate the tricky parts of the curriculum. I'd definitely recommend her to parents out there!

Irene was one of the best lecturers I had at university. She has a real talent for making political economy feel alive, and for showing why the ideas actually matter rather than just teaching theories from a textbook. I always looked forward to her classes because they were challenging without ever feeling intimidating, and she encouraged us to question things instead of simply accepting the right answer. She also cared a lot about her students. She was generous with her time, gave really thoughtful feedback on essays, and was always willing to talk through ideas if you were stuck. I came away from her course feeling much more confident in my own thinking and writing.
