About Joe
I have grade 8 trumpet and am have graduated from Newcastle University with First Class Honours in Music. I have a lot of experience playing gigs (mostly Jazz). I am fairly new to teaching and consequently do not have much experience though, on the practical side, I have taught groups of primary school children ensemble pieces and have some experience teaching beginner trumpet.

I aim to teach those who are reasonably new to trumpet and hopefully give them the passion I have for the music. I play all styles of music, Funk and Jazz in many bands and classical for my grades and University degree and am happy to teach all styles too. As for academic tutoring, I think understanding the music you love to hear and play is an integral part of enjoying it and so try to teach theory with as much enthusiasm as possible!
