About Joe
I am passionate about dispelling the notion that anyone can be "bad at maths." I firmly believe that, with the right guidance and dedicated practice, everyone can discover the joy and beauty of mathematics, just as I and countless others have experienced worldwide. My mission as a tutor is to inspire my students and instil in them the confidence and skills needed to excel in this fascinating subject.
Currently, I am pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Economics at the prestigious London School of Economics. My academic journey thus far has been marked by exceptional achievements, including securing four A* grades at A-Level. In preparation for our first lesson, I am committed to understanding each student's current level of knowledge and identifying the areas of study that require the most attention. I believe in providing a learning experience that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of each individual.
To facilitate seamless and engaging online learning, I conduct all my lessons through Zoom, a versatile platform that allows for effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, if a student possesses a stylus-equipped touchscreen device, I make use of an online interactive whiteboard. This tool enables me to effectively teach concepts and assess students' work in real-time, enhancing their understanding and promoting interactive learning.
Each lesson is designed to be comprehensive and productive, lasting between 1 to 2 hours. I am flexible with scheduling and adapt to the specific requirements of each student, ensuring that they receive the support they need, whenever they need it.

When I was first taught matrices in A Level Maths I could not get my head around them. I talked to my teachers and looked in the textbook but nothing was working. It wasn’t until I asked Joe that I realised I had been getting something simple wrong the whole time, and he solved the problem in about 5 minutes! I would recommend Joe as a tutor to anyone who’s not totally confident with their syllabus, because I know it worked for me.
