About Lynette
I am a mother of 1 and a grandmother to 3 beautiful grand girls. I have been in the classroom setting for 20 years teaching students from grades 3-8 while also tutoring my own grandchildren since pre-k until now 5th grade with my oldest. I am caring, creative, empathetic, and energetic. My own learning style is kinesthetic and visual. I learn best while doing and/or seeing how it is done, but I do resort to reading for and the internet for research when needed. I am not old, but not young...I am just right! I love teaching and seeing the "A-HA" moments and having students share their success stories with me. Positivity is imperative. I am certified in the state of Florida in the following areas: KG-12 ESE and Agricultural Science, KG-6 General Education, Grades 5-9 Integrated Middle Grades and Social Studies, and I am ESOL Endorsed.

A little about me: I went to the University of Central Florida majoring in Specific Learning Disabilities. I understand that we do not all learn the same way, and I cater my lessons based on students' individual needs. Whether hands-on, audio/visual, computer program-based, I will work with your student to learn the subject matter they need assistance with by learning their interests and making the learning process something meaningful to their own life. Let's give it a go, shall we?

Details
Free 30-minute lesson is limited to the actual 1st lesson. I would like to have some time initially before lessons begin to get to know you, your likes and dislikes, where you are struggling, and about your life, goals, dreams, and aspirations. It would also be a time for you to ask me any questions you may have. Once we have finished with our intros to one another, we will meet the next time for a lesson that we schedule either for 30 free minutes or an hour where you pay half price. I want lessons to be fun and entertaining as well as relative to your life. Here is a video that my 6th graders loved year after year when I was teaching them about cells in Science.
