About Reed
With 6 years of experience as a guitar tutor, I am passionate about sharing the joy of music with my students. My teaching approach is centered around personalized instruction, ensuring each lesson caters to the unique interests and goals of teen students. By specializing in fingerstyle, blues, and improvisation, I provide a well-rounded musical education that not only builds technical skills but also encourages creativity and self-expression.
Beyond the classroom, I am committed to continually improving my craft. I regularly attend music workshops and collaborate with fellow musicians to stay updated with the latest techniques and trends in guitar playing. This dedication to lifelong learning allows me to bring fresh ideas and methods into my teaching, ensuring that my students receive the most current and effective instruction. Witnessing my students' progress and passion for music is incredibly rewarding and drives me to keep evolving as a tutor.
In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in various hobbies that complement my love for music. I love exploring new genres and composing my own pieces, drawing inspiration from nature and everyday life. Hiking is one of my favorite pastimes, providing a peaceful retreat and a source of creative inspiration. Additionally, I have a keen interest in photography, especially capturing the beauty of landscapes and candid moments. These hobbies not only enrich my personal life but also bring a sense of balance and creativity to my teaching, allowing me to connect with my students on multiple levels.

I incorporate a mix of technical exercises, practical applications, and creative projects to keep the lessons dynamic and enjoyable. Emphasizing the importance of improvisation, I encourage students to experiment and express themselves through their music, fostering a sense of confidence and originality.
In addition to technical proficiency, I also focus on developing musicality and performance skills.
