• 1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I teach Mathematics to 6-12th grade students. I teach Mathematics to school students and also can teach competitive maths to students appearing for entrance exams.
  Like from school days I used to teach maths to my friends before exams and I found, I enjoyed teaching maths.
  After my graduation, I got the opportunity to teach maths at an offline institute to 11-12th grade students and I really liked the experience of teaching. I always enjoy the class and interact with students in between to make it more interesting. Later on I thought of trying in online mode also and thus here I am.

• 2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  Initially I was very poor in Mathematics till my 7th grade but in 8th grade I met my Maths Teacher N.K Saini who just scolded me badly over getting 0 marks in a test and that day I felt very bad and then decided I'll improve Thereafter I never look back. Inspired by his teaching skills in the most simplified way, I developed an interest in maths and I was like how can someone teach so well in depth that a student who was so weak could get good marks.
  While starting teaching I always remember my maths teacher and try to become like him so that every student even the weakest can understand the subject easily.

• 3. How does your work help society?

  Education is the main pillar of growth in any field and describing the importance of education in life, I'll use a quote here "One book, one pen, one child and one teacher can change the world".
  So, the impact of education on society is huge as an educated mind can transform millions by contributing to society by using the knowledge he gained from teachers and education enhances levels of thinking which can result in the betterment of society.
  An educated person and teacher can transform underprivileged children into the most resourceful assets for any country by providing them suitable education.

• 4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  In the teaching field, I look at Vikas Divyakirti Sir, the founder of Drishti IAS coaching as my role model because of the in-depth knowledge he has and the power of expression he has, impressed me a lot! The way of teaching in an interesting way is what many students like about him and he has reached a large number of students through online mode So I'm also looking forward to be like him!

• 5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  I was in the National Cadet Corps(NCC) for 3 years ,where we got basic military training including fitness, drills and weapon training. Because of NCC, I developed a keen Interest in Fitness for which I do running and exercise daily early in the morning.
  I'm also a horse rider and have done equestrian events. I have keen interest in cricket and am working on myself to perform Stand-up comedy soon!

• 6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Inaya who is one of my students on Superprof, was terribly weak in maths and has maths phobia but after being taught by me for over a month now she has improved a lot as I can witness her improvement. Her mother thanked me for this and yes these moments are very special being a teacher as your efforts have helped someone improve their weakest subject.
