About Kyana
I have over 4 years' tutoring experience in Maths, plus other subjects and have many success stories.
I myself have always been a numerical thinker and always think about different ways to manipulate numbers to solve problems, this has helped me to develop a wide array of strategies to teach different topics to students who may just "not get" the way they have previously been shown.
I have consistently achieved 95%+ in all of my Maths A level exams, and went on to study Medicine at university.

I always start with a free assessment, to get to know you and devise a topic list to work through.
I tailor the sessions to you, but a typical session will start with me helping you understand school work that you have not been able to complete, or mistakes you are unable to rectify.
I then will deliver a tailored session to you, working through the list of topics you need help with. I will go through examples, then guide you through partially worked questions, before letting you fly solo. Continued questions are left for homework (if you wish).
For younger students I incorporate games and multiple styles to keep them interested and engaged.
If you are a visual learner, I will soon pick up on this and bring visual aids, such as cubes, sticks, number cards and much more. If you learn by watching examples I will add in a few more before you get going yourself, and if you learn by doing you may just start with personalised questions that guide you through a topic and teach it to you as you go.
