About Edward
With over 7 years of experience in piano instruction, I offer a rich background in classical repertoire, jazz improvisation, and music theory. My lessons are tailored specifically for school students, ensuring a personalized approach that aligns with their learning needs and musical goals. I focus on developing technical skills and performance abilities, providing guidance that helps students build confidence and achieve their full potential on the piano.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. Each lesson is designed to balance structured learning with creative exploration, allowing students to progress in technique while also developing their own musical expression. I believe in fostering a love for music through a combination of rigorous training and enjoyable, interactive exercises, ensuring that students remain motivated and enthusiastic about their piano studies.
Outside of teaching, I have a passion for exploring different musical genres and integrating diverse styles into my lessons. I also enjoy hiking and photography, finding inspiration in nature that influences my approach to music and teaching. Whether students are working on classical pieces or exploring jazz improvisation, my goal is to help them build confidence and achieve their musical objectives.
In each lesson, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable and inspired. I use a variety of teaching methods, from structured practice routines to interactive exercises, ensuring that students develop both their technical abilities and their love for music. My aim is to make each session productive and enjoyable, helping students progress steadily while maintaining enthusiasm for their piano studies.
Outside the classroom, my passion for music extends to exploring different genres and incorporating these experiences into my teaching. I also enjoy hiking and photography, finding inspiration in nature that informs my approach to music and teaching.
