About Yacine
I am a British-French student at the University of Manchester studying Aerospace Engineering.
I've been tutoring GCSE and A-level maths in schools around Manchester for 2 years now, improving my student's grades from level 4 (C grade) to levels 7-8 (A grade). Previous students of mine have enjoyed consistent progress in mathematical understanding from my planned lessons.

My primary goal when teaching depends on the individual student's objectives, but the general aim is to improve understanding of topics which might at first seem difficult. Tackling problems that once seemed very hard increases motivation significantly. My secondary goal is to increase and encourage genuine interest in the subject. This encourages self-study and leads to higher retention of the subject material. I've learnt during my time teaching that just a simple rephrasing of a problem can change one's attitude to learning significantly. My third and final goal is to teach how to learn, which includes simple tips in taking notes, the do's and don'ts of approaching new material.. etc. This means that even after I'm gone, the positive effects of our time spent learning can continue to help you. Additionally, I study Aerospace Engineering and as such, can include engineering examples as part of my teaching to foster greater interest in this field.
