About Evan

Hi there! I’m Evan a dedicated and enthusiastic Rubik’s Cube tutor who specializes in helping beginners learn how to solve the 3x3 cube and the 2x2 cube with ease and confidence. I’ve spent years exploring the Rubik’s Cube, not just as a puzzle, but as a way to teach problem-solving, focus, and patience. What started as a fun hobby has turned into something I truly enjoy sharing with others. I believe anyone can learn to solve the cube no matter your age or experience level with the right approach and a bit of encouragement. In my lessons, I use the basic beginner method, breaking everything down into easy-to-follow steps. My teaching style is clear, structured, and supportive. Whether you're solving your first cube, trying to improve your time, or just curious about how it all works, I’ll guide you every step of the way. About My Lesson
In this lesson, I’ll teach you how to solve the 3x3 or 2x2 Rubik’s Cube using the beginner method — no experience needed!

We’ll break everything down step-by-step, so it’s super easy to follow. You’ll learn:

- How the cube works (no more confusion!)

- Solving each layer one at a time

- Recognizing patterns and using simple algorithms

- Tips to avoid common mistakes and solve faster over time

By the end of our sessions, you’ll be able to solve the cube on your own —
and impress your friends too 🧊

My style is fun, patient, and made for beginners! Book your first session — I’ll help you master it, step by step. I wanted to clarify that I do not teach speed cubing.

Please note: I don’t offer the first lesson for free. However, I do provide a complimentary 20-minute introductory session to help us get started. In this short meeting, we’ll discuss your current experience with the Rubik’s Cube whether you're a complete beginner or already familiar with some methods and talk about your goals, such as learning beginner methods, solving under a certain time, or simply understanding the cube better. This intro gives us both a chance to connect, see if we’re a good fit, and make sure your learning experience is tailored to you from the very first paid lesson.

1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
I started solving Rubik’s Cubes a few years ago when I was curious about how speedcubers could solve them so fast. At first, it was just a challenge I wanted to beat, but after learning the beginner method and improving step by step, it turned into something I genuinely enjoyed teaching others.
2) Which artists or works affect you the most?
In my case, I’m inspired more by speedcubers and educators than traditional artists—people who break down complex problems into simple steps. Watching cubing tutorials and problem-solvers who teach clearly really shaped how I explain things.
3) What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?
Patience, consistency, and the ability to explain things in simple steps are the most important. You also need strong memory for algorithms, pattern recognition, and the ability to stay calm when learners get stuck.
4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Break everything into small goals. Don’t focus on “mastering” the whole thing at once—focus on the next step you can actually improve today. Consistency beats motivation every time.
5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
Cubing and teaching feel like solving puzzles every time. It’s satisfying because you can clearly see progress. I enjoy the process of turning something confusing into something simple for someone else.
6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?
I’m proud of being able to teach beginners how to solve the cube from scratch and seeing them go from completely confused to solving it on their own. That “first solve” moment is always the best achievement.
7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?
Yes—sometimes students pick up algorithms or patterns much faster than expected. It’s always surprising how quickly someone can improve once they understand the logic instead of just memorizing steps.
8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?
My secret is keeping things simple and encouraging. I focus on making each step easy to understand and building confidence first—because once a student believes they can do it, progress becomes much faster.
