About Roser
I currently teach mathematics at a university, both in-person and synchronous online courses. I am very passionate about mathematics, as I learned from my dad, a research mathematician. Most of my career has been invested in exploring best practices for teaching and learning diverse groups of students.
I have a BA in math from Dartmouth College, a Master's in Mathematics Education from Harvard University, and a doctorate in mathematics education from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

When I teach mathematics online, I set specific goals with the students, provide conceptual contexts for a lesson, and give time and assistance as students work on problems after seeing examples. My main goal is to support students as they learn new material and provide the background knowledge needed to move forward in their learning. When I teach online through a video platform, I project my ipad and then share my notes. It is always helpful for students to have a method of projecting their work so that I can analyze their learning process.
