The hourly fee is because, most of the time, children don't need a full hour at a preschool nor at a primary level.
3 years old (yo) concentration is about 2 to 5 minutes, then 5 yo is about 15 minutes, the 45 minutes in a row when a kid get older in a primary scholar process.
Home lessons and exercises should be around 15 minutes per day for an autonomous kid.
When a kid takes more time, then, better check with someone used to children to identify what is difficult for your kid.
As soon you fix and your kid is able to memorize the method to overpass a type of request (exercise), then the acquisition process is in a good path, if not, you still need to work on it, as a parent, or with the help of a tutor.

A lesson can begin with a parent, then the student, or the student first and the parent after to exchange about the homework or practice, or the student homework in maths and physics then some related activities (accordingly with parents other activities, quizz, etc.) or other topics (reading a problem -> sketching it or transcript it in a mathematical "sentence/relation/formula", or simply reading, etc.)
