About Elisa
Hi there! I'm Elisa
I am French, American and Italian. Born and raised in Paris, I have always loved maths, but also the arts (singing, violin, musical theatre). Though I have a Master's in Engineering, I recently completed a musical theatre course at LAMDA - so I'm very outgoing, adaptable but also knowledgeable.
I look forward to adapting my teaching methods to each student in order to best help them reach their goals!

I love to teach maths because I find it is a subject that many students feel fearful of. It is also a subject in which it is essential to have a strong foundation to build on, and that's often what's lacking when students start struggling with maths.
Finding creative ways to explain a topic and understand how my student thinks through problems brings me enormous satisfaction, because that's when I figure out how best to help them.
I like to cater my approach to each student, but I offer assistance with homework, review of school lessons, help with scheduling/organisation skills, support in study methodology and aid to identify each student's most efficient study technique, engaging lessons
I have been tutoring for over ten years students from middle school to university level, both in English and French (my native languages)
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at JiaoTong University (Shanghai), Columbia University (New York)
My lessons are adaptable to all ages and levels!
