About Charlie
I started learning guitar at the age of eight having already played piano for three years prior. Whilst completing grades for both instruments (ABRSM & Rockschool), I developed a strong passion for Music through performances in bands and orchestras.
Since I was 10, I have played guitar in multiple bands and am currently lead guitarist in two bands, both of which I am regularly playing shows and releasing songs with. Being in bands has provided me with so many positive experiences and areas of knowledge in music performance/theory/songwriting; along with helping me develop my abilities in teaching, leadership, and working in a group.
I have also taken every opportunity to develop my ability and passion for Music on an academic level, which has entailed completing Music at GCSE and A-Level. In secondary school, I was the Music prefect for my house, which provided me with the responsibilities of coordinating multiple events at the school, along with arranging and conducting an orchestra in a competition.
Over the past several years I have taken my love of music and playing guitar with me through University, where I have consistently obtained first class marks in my music performance assessments, and have gained a lot of musical knowledge through performing with various ensembles and networking with lots of other musicians. I have also played guitar on a song (Dominic Byrne - Holy Water) which recently went to number 1 in the UK iTunes charts.

Flexible lessons for all abilities based on your own personal goals, whether you've never picked up a guitar before, you're in the process of preparing for grade exams or if you just want to progress as a guitar player.
Lesson lengths are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour, however am happy to discuss further based on personal needs & schedules.
Having previously worked through the majority of Rockschool grades 1-8, playing in various bands, and developing further experience having music as a part of my degree; I am familiar with multiple learning environments & methods, and would love to create engaging and enjoyable lessons tailored to you.
