About Benjamin
Hi, I'm Benjamin.
I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics and seeing their confidence grow as things start to click. I know that some subjects can feel challenging at first, but with the right explanations and support, they can become much more manageable.
I want to teach because I like sharing knowledge and helping others make progress. I aim to create lessons that are clear, supportive, and suited to each student's needs, whether you're working towards exams, improving your understanding, or simply wanting to feel more confident in a subject.
I'm patient, approachable, and always happy to explain things in a way that makes sense for you.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and focus on helping them build a strong understanding of GCSE Chemistry. If there are topics you find difficult, we can spend time working through them step by step until you're confident. Alternatively, if you'd like to stay ahead in class, I can teach upcoming topics in advance based on your exam board and school curriculum.
Lessons include clear explanations, worked examples, and exam-style questions to reinforce your understanding. I also recommend completing past papers, which I can mark and go through with you, providing feedback on your answers and advice on how to improve your exam technique.
I offer 1–2 hour online lessons, depending on what works best for you. Sessions can focus on a single topic, revision for upcoming assessments, or general preparation for GCSE exams.
I hold an MChem (Master of Chemistry) degree. At GCSE, I achieved Grade 9 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and Grade 8 in Mathematics. At A-level, I achieved an A in Chemistry, an A in Mathematics, and an A* in Physics. Having completed these qualifications myself, I understand the demands of the GCSE and A-level curriculum and the techniques needed to perform well in exams.
I also have experience teaching younger family members and helping university classmates understand complex topics, which has helped me develop a clear and patient approach to explaining chemistry.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE Chemistry students of all abilities, whether you need help with specific topics, regular support throughout the school year, or focused revision before exams.
