About Harrison
I am a Mechanical Engineering undergrad currently studying an intergrated masters at the University of Manchester. I have experiance teaching year 7 students during my A-levels and am looking to share my knowledge with others. I specialise in mechanics and calculus as these are used heavily in my degree, aswell as having a general understanding of general advanced mathematics.

My teaching style usually involves a small lecture on the concept, taking a look at a worked example as the core. This gives the student a toolkit for solving problems. Then working through example problems with students, offering assistance as they need it. I encourage thought and understanding, not giving the answer as help but pointing the student in the direction of the solution. Getting the student to think about the problem not only leads to a high sense of achievement when it is solved, but also gives a great understanding of the concepts involved. Overall this is harder at the time but the student will then be able to tackle similar problems, perhaps even more advanced problems, alone by sourcing from the concept toolkit they have made.
