About Stephanie
Alongside my medical studies, I play the violin to a professional level, performing with the University of Birmingham orchestras and having achieved Grade 8 with distinction. Music remains both a passion and a creative outlet for me. I also enjoy swimming, representing the University Development Squad. These experiences have helped me develop focus, discipline, and balance, qualities I bring into my teaching.

I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s learning style, pace, and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts before moving on to exam techniques, problem-solving strategies, and practice questions. I often use worked examples, active recall, and spaced repetition to ensure that knowledge is both understood and retained long term. Tutoring lessons will typically last 60 minutes, however this is very flexible based on the students needs. My lessons are suitable for students aged 10 to 18, covering KS2, KS3, GCSE, and A-Level. I also support students preparing for medical school entrance exams and younger learners aiming for selective school entry through the 11+. My qualifications include A levels in Maths (A*), Chemistry (A*), Biology (A), and Psychology (A), as well as completing the BMAT and UCAT as entrance exams to Medical School. I am currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I have one year of experience tutoring for the 11+, and I have also produced and delivered multiple lessons for lower-year medical students as part of my course. Having sat these exams myself, I am able to offer both academic support and exam-specific strategies.
