About Rishen
I am a former Dr Challoner's Grammar School student who currently studies Medicine at UCL. I am a First Class Honours graduate in Medical Sciences with Clinical Sciences. Having performed exceptionally in my academic career in all Maths and Science subjects, I am able to provide an excellent service for my students. I am also able to tutor for Medical Admissions (including BMAT and interview preparation) having been through the rigorous process myself. When tutoring, I aim to ensure my students not only understand the questions and answers, but the process of getting there. This exam technique, I have found is the key to performing well in examinations. Exam Results GCSEs - 6A*s 4As AS Level - 4As (Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics) 1B (Physics) A Level - 3A (Maths, Biology, Chemistry On my gap year I worked as a private tutor and for a company gaining hundreds of hours of experience in 1-to-1 tuition. Through continued tutoring, I have kept myself up to date with the changes in specifications for the subjects that I teach and I aim to ensure that all of my students understand exactly what they are expected to know. Whilst at school I have tutored students in younger years. I also helped organise and run the Year 7 science club. Doing this taught me that keeping an enthusiastic attitude and an encouraging atmosphere helps students to learn more effectively. More recently I have volunteered with Sexpression; a charity providing Sex-Ed to students in schools that would not otherwise receive an adequate education. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
