About Edwin
As a first-year medical student, I am embarking on a journey to integrate my academic background into the practice of medicine, combining theoretical understanding with hands-on clinical experience. My advanced degree provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the principles underlying human physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and other key aspects of biomedical research and healthcare. As a future physician in the making, my role will not only encompass being knowledgeable in these areas of science, but also serving as an advocate, teacher, and servant to my patients. These skills are the same ones that I will use when working as a tutor with my students.

As a tutor with a background in biomedical sciences (Master's) and biochemistry (undergraduate), my approach revolves around fostering a deep understanding of the material while tailoring my teaching methods to the individual needs and learning styles of my students. Drawing upon my own experiences as a first-year medical student and my expertise in the subject matter, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore concepts, and actively participate in the learning process.
One aspect of my tutor approach is establishing clear learning objectives and goals with my students. By collaboratively identifying areas of strength and areas needing improvement, we can develop a roadmap for our tutoring sessions and track progress over time. This gives students a sense of direction and purpose, enhancing their motivation and engagement with the material.
