About Akeim
I am a dancer, Beatboxer, poet, theatre maker, movement director and Choreographer. I trained at The Northern School Of Contemporary Dance. Graduated in 2014 with a BA first class degree. I have worked as a movement coach and dance teacher for numerous types of people in my career. From different walks of life and capabilities. I'm all I've learned how to connect to specific people's needs to help them get to a healthy mind and body connection all through creative practice and activation.

I approach teaching with real life accounts. I also like to share some science behind the benefits of why I use dance and other creative means as a therapy or way to heal, channel and create new space in individual's being.
I'll draw on information I've read, practices, research I've conducted and research others have conducted relating to my work. I try to cover different fields for my participants so they feel they are well informed.
I also don't believe in one size fits all. I know and see that everyone is different and I urge for my participants to get to a place of knowing their body so they demand what they want and take each exercise as a guideline for their own adaptation and use.
