About Mai
I'm currently a Medical Anthropology undergrad at OSU with 6 years of experience in the fine arts. I graduated as a member of the National Art Honor Society and a a two-time silver medalist of the Scholastic National Art and Writing awards for both writing and illustration. I have obtained a score of 5/5 in AP Drawing and Illustration and have had work exhibited in the Australian High Commission in Singapore (2017) and the Columbus Urban Scrawl (2019).

When I find myself aiding my peers, I've discovered that it is easiest and most effective for me to help simulate the steps I take myself to create my own work. Observing and reflecting one's process and trial and error are some key methods I believe are essential to one's progression and success in acquiring skillsets in any new field. We'll begin by drawing side-by-side with shared reference material and evaluating and building upon the student's current techniques.
