About Jacob
I am a Graduate of Muhlenberg College, Class of 2020 and a holder of a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. I am currently employed as a Senior Research Technician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as I prepare for beginning a PhD in Immunology.
I have tutored over 20 students from across numerous institutions including Muhlenberg College, New York University, Montclair State University, Arizona State University, Long Island University and more. I take pride in developing a strong connection with my students so that we can achieve efficient communication.
Among the students I have worked with most earn As with the greatest concentration of my students earning grades in the A to B range. None of my students have had to withdraw from a course.
Growing up I personally struggled with ADHD and therefore have developed effective learning methods proven effective in helping a multitude of conventional learners as well as those who are neurodivergent or struggle with any form of learning disability.
In my free time I enjoy watching movies with my girlfriend, exploring New York City, and shopping for new toys for my golden retriever Emma. Looking forward to working with you or your student!

I work with each student to identify their individual needs. In the past I have developed unique academic guidance plans to ensure semester long success. As a tutor with 6+ years experience working with students from institutions such as Muhlenberg College, NYU, RIU, ASU, Montclair, and more I have helped a variety of students across different backgrounds succeed.
What I believe sets me apart from other tutors can be articulated by a quote from Albert Einstein, who once said, "If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it yourself." Being able to break a topic down such that anyone can understand it is a difficult task that I hold as my highest value as an educator.
I am a firm believer in bottom-up learning, meaning that I emphasize understanding of the principles that support the often advanced concepts required by high school and college level science courses. I find that more often that not students that struggle do so do to an insufficient understanding of the supporting material.
