About Lucie
I am a 31-year-old registered mental health nurse and I live in sunny Cornwall. I love walking and sea swimming. Sea swimming is a core part of my life and I do this year-round - even when it’s frosty and snowing - no wetsuits! I enjoy reading, Harry Potter and history. I enjoy spending time in my garden planting various flowers, and I love looking around old stately homes and local museums to soak up the history. I became a nurse through lived experience, determined to help others with their mental health, and nursing has become a core part of my life. All of my nursing roles have been focused on children, adolescent and family physical and mental health and I consider myself an advocate for the happiness and safety of all children. I am currently writing a self-help book on my lived experience of a difficult childhood, incorporating my nursing knowledge and skills to help other people overcome their challenges and live a happy life.

I can offer 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions to help get you through your nursing degree. If you need support building your grades and completing your modules for university, I can offer 1:1 tutoring based on need and module. If it’s education you’re after, I can offer short, bite-sized teaching sessions on a range of nursing subjects to help build your knowledge and understanding of the core foundations of nursing, or perhaps focus on something more specialised. I am qualified as a student nursing assessor and supervisor so I have a good understanding of what is required in your modules as well as wider NMC requirements for nursing proficiencies. I hold a senior nursing role in mental health, particularly child and adolescent mental health, and more recently I practise as a specialist nurse in children’s safeguarding health which covers all aspects of physical and mental health, social related safeguarding aspects and operational nursing. If you are a physical health nurse and would like further support on the mental health side of nursing, as the two are so interlinked, I can help build your skills.

Details
Lessons online or face to face are £20 for an hour. Groups up to 3 people are £30 per hour. I will travel anywhere in Cornwall - price dependent on location between £5 and £20. Any Plymouth university students who may be needing support and you would like this face to face, I am happy to discuss cost logistics with you and travel to Plymouth. Thank you :)
