About Vincent
I worked for 10 years as a driving school instructor. It was very interesting and challenging. I'm now switching to chess coach and life coach. I need new challenges to keep my mind awake. I have an amazing IRL queen and 2 lovely pawns. I plan to reach master level to help other players understand chess more and more. Chess is evil but my favorite!

I have a very personal method of teaching. I didn't like school. I do my best at giving you interactive and pertinent lessons. I always ask a few questions about your preferences to identify your chess profile. This is the first key to propose the right learning plan for you. Example: The most common are the "doer" and the "learner". The first one loves to play a lot of games but spends little or no time opening a book, for example. He wants to learn mostly by playing. The second one loves to learn new schemes and new skills but lacks using them on the board. I offer personalized approaches by defining or confirming with you which style suits you best. For example, some players insist on playing critical lines, complex middle games with tactics everywhere, but they are way better at playing more positional games! I'm confident in teaching everything to 1800 Elo and below. If you're higher than 1800, it's still possible depending on which part you want to work on. I have already won against 2200 players, but playing and teaching are two things, and I won't try if I feel I'm not skilled enough. I can teach single individuals or groups; I'm fine with both. I'll give you homework too if you have time for it!
