Hello! My name is Zhiting Chen ( Mandy), and I am currently pursuing a Master of Teaching degree with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. My academic journey, coupled with my passion for teaching, has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.
I excel at guiding children through the wonderful world of books, fostering a love for reading that will last a lifetime. 2. Storytelling and Books:Reading is a cornerstone of my teaching. I use a variety of children's books to enhance language acquisition, comprehension, and vocabulary. Through expressive storytelling, I captivate children's interest and encourage their imagination.

Lesson Plan

2. Introduction (10 minutes):
- Introduce colors and shapes using flashcards and objects.
- Pronounce each color and shape in Mandarin and have children repeat.
3. Interactive Activity (15 minutes):
- Color and Shape Hunt: Children find objects around the room that match the colors and shapes introduced.
- Engage in a sorting activity where children group objects by color and shape.
4. Story Time (10 minutes):
- Read a picture book that features colors and shapes, discussing the images and reinforcing Mandarin vocabulary.
- Ask questions about the story to encourage participation and comprehension.
5. Creative Activity (15 minutes):
- Art Project: Children create their own pictures using colored paper and shapes. They describe their artwork in Mandarin.

6. Conclusion (5 minutes):
