About Elva
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, having successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. Teaching music is not just my profession but my passion, and I strive to make every lesson meaningful and productive.
My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals. I ensure that students develop correct posture, proper embouchure, steady breath control, and accurate finger placement from the beginning. I believe that a solid foundation makes advanced techniques easier and more natural.
Each student receives a personalised learning plan based on their level and goals. I include technical exercises, scales, rhythm practice, sight reading, and performance pieces in a structured format. I also guide students on how to practice effectively at home.
One of my unique strengths is identifying small technical errors early and correcting them patiently. I maintain a supportive yet disciplined environment that encourages steady improvement.
My aim is to develop confident, technically strong, and expressive flute players who truly enjoy their musical journey.

My teaching methodology for flute centres on consistency, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I believe consistent practice combined with proper guidance leads to meaningful progress.
I focus on developing correct breathing, posture, embouchure, tone quality, and finger coordination. Step-by-step exercises help students build strength and control. Alongside flute training, I teach music theory basics, rhythm accuracy, sight-reading skills, and performance techniques to ensure complete musical growth.
Flexibility allows me to tailor lessons to match the student’s interests and learning pace. Whether preparing for exams, concerts, or learning as a hobby, I provide structured guidance suited to their goals. Collaboration is encouraged through open communication and interactive learning.
Positivity defines my classroom atmosphere. I encourage students, build their confidence, and help them overcome performance anxiety. My objective is to nurture skilled, confident, and passionate flute players who enjoy their musical journey.
