• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I'm a Chinese native speaker,I was born in Tianjin which is near Beijing,China.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  The person who represents Chinese culture must be Confucius.His thoughts have been passed down for thousands of years and have an influence all over the world.Confucius Institutes are the best proof.I like traditional Chinese culture and I will introduce various traditional Chinese cultures in my class.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  As for my favorite,I would say without hesitation that it's tea art.I 'm also a tea artist.Drinking tea not only benefits health but also helps to pass on Chinese culture.In all the actions of making and drinking tea,Chinese culture is deeply embedded.For instance,we insist that the tea should be filled to seven-tenth full rather than brimful,which implies that we should be modest and low-key in our conduct and behavior.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Chinese is not merely a means of communication,it is also a symbol of China.I'm very glad to see that more and more foreigners eager to learn about China and to master Chinese.As a Chinese teacher ,of course I must strive to be a disseminator and bridge of Chinese culture and the Chinese

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  Grammar is a relatively difficult part of the Chinese .Due to the numerous grammar points and the significant differences between Chinese and English,it often leads to errors for students during their learning process.However,I believe there must be a solution to this problem.We can do this by providing many examples and comparing them with English,identifying the similarities and differences,so that students can understand clearly.Then coming to practice,it would be best if we could have practical scenarios for the practice,so that students can better understand and learn this grammar through adaptation.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  When I was teaching Chinese in Kenya,I gave each of the sixteen students in my class a Chinese name.Since my husband's surname is Li,they all have the surname Li, such as Li Junhao,
  Li Zimeng .Later I asked myself why I didn't let them have my surname,I don't know what I was thinking at that time.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  The best scenery is on the road.For learning a language ,you can learn while travelling.This is my advice to my students who come to China for tourism.When I travel abroad ,I also learn English while travelling.

• What makes you a Superprof in language?

  I like.I like traditional Chinese culture and I want to spread it to the world.I want to let the friends who are learning Chinese understand Chinese culture.Then I will require myself to be competent for this job.I need to constantly improve myself and become an expert in Chinese teaching.
