About Janette

I'm orginally from Germany and am a Level 5 certified TEFL English tutor.
While I was completing my TEFL certificate, I spent several months in England.

Besides German, I also speak: English, Japanese, Russian at conversational level and am currently learning Spanish.
As a language learner myself, I know the challenges that come with learning a new language.
This personal experience help me understand my students better.

I have almost 2 years of experience tutoring Japanese and I'm excited to apply that experience to help English learners improve their skills!

About the lesson

I use a student-centered, communicative approach with interactive activities to make my lessons fun and engaging!

I believe that the best way to learn a language is to speak it and immerse yourself in it, which is why I will be teaching most of my classes in English.

I'm happy to help you expand your vocabulary, improve your grammar, and I offer conversational practice to help you feel confident and become more fluent in English.

No matter your level, my goal is to make sure that what you learn is practical and applicable to real-life situations!

Amazing Teacher for Both Japanese and English!

I have been learning both Japanese and English with Janette. and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. she is a polyglot and she has a strong passion towards languages.

For Japanese, she has a deep understanding of the language and culture, making lessons both informative and engaging. she explain complex grammar points clearly and provide practical examples that make learning easier. Whether it’s speaking, or listening, Janette always tailors the lessons to my level and learning pace.

When it comes to English, Janette is equally skilled. She focus on not just improving my grammar and vocabulary but also on building my confidence in speaking and writing. I have seen a significant improvement in my communication skills since taking lessons with Janette.

What I appreciate most is Janette’s patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping students succeed. She always provide helpful feedback and is flexible with scheduling.

I highly recommend Janette to anyone looking to learn Japanese, English, or both!

Janette is such a delight to learn languages with. I've been studying Japanese for a long time and wasn't progressing as fast as I wanted.

Luckily, I found Janette who has shown to be very pleasant with her funny and bubbly personality. She communicates her words in both English and Japanese very clearly and takes time to teach and explain grammar points very well.

I would most definitely recommend!
