About Olivia
Currently, I’m a senior at Dwight D. Eisenhower HS. Though that isn’t a professional title or anything, I do know the ins and outs of most band instruments, as well as what directors look for in elementary/secondary musicians. I’m the principal trumpet player in my school’s symphonic band, and I’ve received the Lenard Bernstein award and the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. I’ve received 3 Division 1 ratings for the IHSA Solo & Ensemble Competitions, and I was recently selected to play in our conference’s honor band. My real passion though, is music education. I love the idea of spreading knowledge and love of music.

I taught myself to play the trumpet, french horn, guitar, piano, clarinet, tuba, and saxophone. I’ve learned from prestigious educators, as well as taken on mentor/leadership roles. I believe I have an efficient balance of student/leader qualities in order to provide quality tutoring. I’m looking to spread my passion for music in a low-key way (pun intended), as well as make music education more accessible to my fullest capacities.
