About Rachel
I am a piano tutor based in Edinburgh, who has played piano for almost 20 years. I was trained classically, but enjoy playing all styles, from classical to jazz, from musical theatre to my own compositions.
I believe that creating a solid base of understanding and technique can help you to branch out into whatever area you would like, and what takes your interest! Music is to be explored, and it is definitely to be enjoyed.

My goal is to help you enjoy music in a way you have not before! By creating a solid understanding of notation and techniques, you can branch out and explore new ways to play and enjoy music. Find the style that suits you.
I am a relaxed and encouraging teacher with an open minded approach to piano playing, theory, and composition. Let’s work together to find what your musical voice is, and hopefully you will enjoy playing as much as I do.
