About Shamitha
I have been singing my whole life and continue to do so as a Music Production and Performance student at BNU. Music has always been my passion, but I was once in position where I was so low in confidence, didn't know if I was good enough at singing and was always struggling to reach my goals due to nervousness and stage anxiety. After overcoming these negative feelings, I came to realise that this is so incredibly common in singers of all ages and levels, and everyone's journey is different and special. I understand all those feelings, and I want you to feel good about yourself and your voice. I alway listen and adjust my lesson plans according to each student, and make sure that you are on the right track to developing your sound. I feel so grateful that I can see my students reach their goals, learn new techniques and become the best version of themselves through my sessions. I will always be there to support you and encourage you along the way on your singing journey!

Hi there! My name is Shamitha and I am a second year uni student doing Music Production and Performance. I have a lot of experience teaching young children and teens singing in performing arts schools, as well as helping adult students with their singing journey. I have qualifications in GCSE music, A-Level Music Tech, ABRSM Grade 5 Singing and RockSchool Grade 5 Music Production. I do online lessons through google meet at £15/hr with the first class free. For singing, it is beginners to intermediate level teaching (unless discussed otherwise). Lessons are a minimum of one hour long.
In the first class (free), there will be an introduction/get to know each other, where we will explore your goals, what level you are so far etc. If you wish to continue after our first class, every lesson after that will be equipped with lots of fun and effective exercises and vocal analysis with your favourite songs, as well as much more. After each class, I send a detailed email with a lesson recap with all notes I have made, and I also include extra materials and goals that you can work through till the next time I see you. This way, you will be able to improve smoothly and you'll get your moneys worth!!
If you are interested, please let me know a bit about you (age, skillset, brief vocal background, preferred genre, anything you'd like me to know beforehand) so I can see if we'd be a good match and I can also give you my availability. I am usually quite flexible unless I have another student, I am away, I have class changes etc.
Once again, my classes are £15/hour and they are online on google meet.
