About Grigor
Hello visitor, if you are on my page you are probably wondering who I am and what experiences I have. So here is a little about me. I am a second-year student at the University of Queensland studying Bachelor of Computer Science / Master of Data Science. Here are some relevant subjects that I completed in my first year: MATH1061 Discrete Mathematics, MATH1071 Advanced Calculus & Linear Algebra (commonly regarded as the hardest first-year subject), MATH1072 Advanced Multivariate Calculus & Ordinary Differential Equations (MATH1072), CSSE 1001 Introduction to Software Engineering. Prior to university, I graduated year 12 with an ATAR of 96.85 (OP of 2 equivalent) taking both Specialist Mathematics and Physics. During my high school years, I received the best in the school award (with distinction) in the Australian Math Competition as well as multiple distinctions as the best in the school in subjects including Chemistry, Mathematical Methods. Also, I am a semi-professional chess player (FIDE rated) who regularly participates in championships around QLD. I especially love playing online chess on services like Lichess, where I currently maintain about 2050 rating in rapid. Regarding my tutoring experience, I have tutored more than 20 students during my career mainly in mathematics, chess, physics, NAPLAN and AMC, which makes me like no one other understand all the difficulties that students meet on a daily basis. In addition, some of my students left me great comments which I hope can reassure you that I can help you improve your knowledge and master your skills in the subject area you choose. Since one of my favorite subjects at school was Mathematics (I studied both Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics) I understand all the difficulties this subject presents and I am more than happy to help resolve them!
