About Samara
Olá! My name is Samara — I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with a background in business, auditing, and risk management, and currently serving as a missionary in South Africa (after a season in Mozambique!). My journey across countries and cultures has deepened my love for communication and for helping people connect through language. Portuguese is my mother tongue, and now I’m excited to share it with you — not only as a language, but as a bridge to culture, stories, and meaningful conversations. Teaching has become a beautiful way for me to stay connected with people from all over the world while continuing my mission — so when you book a class, you’re not just learning a language... you're also supporting a purpose!! Let’s learn, laugh, and grow together — one Portuguese word at a time!

I met Samara in Brazil, and in 2023 I had the opportunity to go to Johannesburg. Samara was also there, and she helped me a lot as I didn’t know how to speak English. I’m super grateful that she was able to translate and also teach me many things in English. I think a great thing is that she knows English very well, which is very helpful to teach an English native speaker to learn Portuguese.
