About Paul
I’m a 21-year-old French engineering student from Bordeaux, currently living in Christchurch. I study electronics and I’m doing research on drone technology at the University of Canterbury. French is my native language, and I care deeply about using it with accuracy and clarity. I have a strong background in literature and grammar, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge in a way that’s simple and friendly. I’ve already taught math in France and worked as a babysitter, so I know how to adapt to different learners, whether children, teenagers or adults. I’m patient, respectful, and I always make sure my lessons match the needs and pace of each student. I can help with grammar, conversation, writing, or just keeping the language alive, especially for children growing up in bilingual or expat families. I speak English fluently and always do my best to explain things clearly. Teaching is something I really enjoy, and I’d be happy to help you grow in French, step by step.

I offer French lessons for all levels – beginners, students, or adults who want to practice or improve. I adapt each lesson to the person’s level, goals, and interests. Lessons can include: - Speaking and listening practice - Grammar and vocabulary explanations - Reading, writing, pronunciation - Help with schoolwork or exams (for students) - French culture and real-life expressions - Casual conversation with French-speaking children (to help them keep using and hearing the language regularly, especially in families living in an English-speaking environment) Lessons can be online or in person (Christchurch). I’m flexible – evenings and weekends available. Standard rate: 30 NZD per hour (negotiable for children or short sessions).
